A client hired me to get her condo ready for sale- she had to move out of state and her realtor told her she couldn’t get the rent she needed to pay costs. We met and made a plan for the work- but on the elevator down I asked a hipster if he lived there and found out he was paying $800/month more than what she needed. Seen here without a top, this cabinet display shows lots of 2014 trends: the mix of integrated built-in (with toekick) and modular (on legs); mixing the vertical grain with the stainless steel cabinets, and the flat, no-panel “slab” door and drawer style- even the pulls are different in this fun array. The upper cabinets include yet another finish and style.
Updated tile planned for this client’s fireplace- the tile she picked wasn’t quite right for her (plus the contractor left more of the black metal showing than he was supposed to). A little softer, warmer color, it’s actually porcelain tile. The cut edge will look nice because the color goes all the way through. You can see on the hearth that the installation wasn’t very good – it’s uneven.
